Live in harmony with nature relax into the Spanish lifestyle in this 200 year-old finca that was renovated by the eccentric Spanish artist Manolo Coronado. The outbuildings and main house have recently been updated using traditional building methods in modern style, to create a stylish retreat with a domed roof, Arabic floors and Moorish interior décor. A place to chill out or be creative, the house has been designed with spaces for yoga, martial arts, dance, painting and meditation.

Inside

• Style: Whitewashed walls and beamed ceilings create spacious, light-filled rooms tastefully decked out in Arabic and Moorish style. There are no less than 6 sitting areas – one referred to as the family ballroom with its comfy seating, a piano, TV and large dining table and wood fire.
• Bedrooms: There are nine bedrooms in total. The finca itself comprises of 5 double
  bedrooms, 2 with extensive outdoor terraces, 3 bathrooms. There is also a poolside suite
  with a double bedroom and bathroom. There are a further 3 double bedrooms with
  en suite bathrooms available.
• Bathrooms: 3 bathrooms in the main house. The poolside suite and the three further rooms each have en suites.
• For relaxation: Chill out in the domed sitting room, siesta on a shady terrace or sink into the plunge pool. There is also a games room with a variety of board games as well as an extensive video library that caters for all tastes and ages.
• For recreation: Practise martial arts, dance and yoga in the dojo, swim laps in the ornate swimming pool, make use of the running machine and free weights or play table tennis, volleyball and board games. A private yoga teacher can be arranged for you from 15€ per person for a 1 and a half hour lesson.

Outside

The finca stands in 20,000 square metres of lush Spanish gardens with citrus orchards, tropical fruit trees and a market garden brimming with organic fruit and vegetables all year round. A number of private terraces provide outdoor areas to enjoy lazy siestas and dine alfresco with panoramic views of the Sierra Cabrera, and when you need to cool off there’s a plunge pool and an 18 metre Arabic style swimming pool.

Food and wine

Available on a self-catering basis with a fabulous in house chef available at extra cost.

• DIY: The large, well-equipped kitchen in the main house leads out to a private enclosed terrace with a dining area. The pool suite also has its own smaller kitchen and there is a further kitchen in the grounds.
  
• In-house cuisine: There really is no reason to eat out - the in house chef can be hired to cook everything from Spanish feasts for special occasions to BBQ's and picnics for the beach. His style is typically Andalusian: Paella de marisco with fresh seafood landed from the day boats at Garrucha, plump Mediterranean mussels cooked in a rich sun ripened tomato and chorizo broth, char grilled tuna steak on orange caramelized fennel with a crushed caper berry salsa served with bread baked fresh from their ovens and fresh fruits picked from the citrus and soft fruit orchard. Fresh salads are hand picked from the organic garden and seasoned with their very own organic olive oil.
• Eating out: There is a range of excellent beach bars and restaurants on nearby Mojacar Playa, or for the best fresh fish head to the port in Garrucha. For Mexican food try Sinaloa Fanny’s in Mojacar Pueblo and for traditional Spanish cuisine and sangria head to the nearest town – Turre – and seek out a restaurant called Alcatifa.

Getting there

• On the map: The property is situated on the southeast coast of Spain, less than an hour from Almeria. From Almeria airport follow the E15 towards Murcia and come off at junction 525. The property is about 1km off the road.
• By car: Only 50 minutes from Almeria airport, 2hrs south of Alicante and within 2hrs of Granada and Murcia.
• By train: The nearest train station is Almeria, served by trains to Granada, Seville and Madrid

• Golf, horse riding, paragliding, go-karting and quad-biking are available nearby
• The beaches of Mojacar, Garrucha and Vera are within 15-minutes drive
• The wild beauty of the Cabo de Gata national park is just half an hour away
